Lewis Allen was born in what is now Clinton Co. IL 13 Apr 1816. He married Nancy Burnside who was born abt 1813 in Ireland. I would like to learn more about her and her family, who came to Illinois in 1817 more or less directly from Ireland.

There was James Burnside Sr., John Burnside, James Burnside, Jr. But I don't know who was her father. She may also have had a sister, Jane, b 1816. All were born in Ireland.
