I wonder if he might have been connected in some way to Christian Burket (Burger, Burget, and other spellings) of Blair County, Pennsylvania. See http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=27... and http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Bu...;

I have a Sarah Burket, who was the daughter of Christian Burket/Burger and Catharine Mentzer. She married Joseph Harry Nettz in Ogle County., Illinois, about 1866. Joseph and Sarah (Burket) Nettz lived in the Grand Detour area. David Burger, a son of Christian Burket/Burger and brother of Sarah Burket, served in a Civil War company from northern Illinois, but he returned to PA later. I came across a biography of immigrant Israel Burket (Burchert) that seems like it is probably relative to the ancestors of Christian Burket/Burger, but I have not yet researched it: http://www.pagenweb.org/~somerset/bios/isreal.htm
