I have a picture attached to the person. After reviewing the information I have and what others have, this picture is not of my Thomas LaFayette. If you look at the picture there is a woman "Polly Long" wife. This is my factor for much research. "Capt Fate" as he is referred to is Lafayette Burchfield married to Mary E. Long. My Thomas LaFayette and this Capt. Lafayette are related, they share the same G-G-G grandfather - Thomas Burchfield. Gets confusing, but just wanted to let all know that I will be removing this picture from my Thomas LaFayette at the end of June. This will give all time to look this over and send any comments needed. Thank you all for your time. I have also posted this massage to the Gilbert message board since these two family are so closely connected.
