Hello, I am a direct descendant of John Dickinson, b. 22 May 1787 in Bethpage, Long Island, NY, and his wife Ruth Bumstead, born 1794, location unknown. Ruth Bumstead died on 05 Jun 1871 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, USA. I do not know who her parents are or anything else about her. Hoping someone might know more information about her place of birth and family members. I am assuming that she was born in New York, as that is where John Dickinson was born and died.
