CADYVILLE — Carol Ann (Gray) Bull, 74, of State Route 3, and formerly of Dannemora, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington.

She was born in Whitehall on Dec. 25, 1931, the daughter of Milo A. and Mary (Wood) Gray.

Carol was a graduate of Dannemora High School. In her earlier years, she was employed by New York Telephone Corporation, and later by Agway Petroleum in Plattsburgh, from which she later retired.

Carol married Rance Bull on Nov. 10, 1950.

She was a very loving and caring woman with many enjoyments in life. These enjoyments included her loving cat, Ralph, visiting with friends and family, computer games, ski-dooing, her soap operas and her exercise group.

Most of all, Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, aunt, friend and an exceptional grandmother. She took great pride in the lives of her grandchildren and their accomplishments, and enjoyed attending all of their activities and sporting events.

Carol believed in the power of laughter and had a great sense of humor.

She and Rance enjoyed many years of seasonal camping with their friends in Mountain View and Chazy Lake. They also loved traveling and vacationing in Maine and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of more than 55 years, Rance Bull of Cadyville; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jaye Bull of Cadyville; one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Tom Holmes of Wake Forest, N.C.; three grandchildren, Nathan Bull of Plattsburgh, Lauren Bull of Plattsburgh and Adrianne Drollette of Arlington, Va.; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Marilyn Gray of Wilmington, N.C.; two step-grandchildren, Brandon Downs of Albany and Jordan Downs of the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, N.C.; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Walt and Jean Bull of Cadyville, Jean and Art Baker of Plattsburgh, and Ann and Ed Chester of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was predeceased by an infant son, Michael Bull; her parents; a brother, Clayton Gray; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Gray.

Calling hours and funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place at a later date in Whitehall, in the family plot.

Donations in Carol's memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.

The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
