Abigall Lancest(e)r brought a petition to be read: wch was read & Conteined these following words, That whereas She haveing beenebeguiled through Protestations & Oath of one Joseph Budd of Rye in ye County aforesaid, who did promise yt ye wholl world should not part us, And that the Solemnety of marriage should forthwith be done betweene Us . But after he had Sattisfied his Lust with me: Left me in a poore Misserable & Disstressed Condition: & my poore Child wch Came out of his Loynes must be cald a Bastard wch Condition Relying Upon yer Worships Compassion And Humbly prayes your Worshipps will take the Mater into yer Serious Consideration: And order that the said Joseph Budd may be healpfull in the bringeing Upp Said Child And Yer Petitionr Shall for Ever Pray

Does anyone know the name of this child? Did this Abigail Lancaster ever marry? The only thing that comes to my mind is that this may be the mysterious "John Lyon" mentioned in that old will of John Budd.
