Joseph Burr Buckman (24 Nov 1851 - 26 Dec 1929 New York) worked in hat manufacturing, making the molds to form felt hats. He married Corinne Louise Barbour (29 Feb 1860 - 20 Dec 1936 New York).

Corinne L. Barbour's father was John Seymour Barbour (11 Aug 1837 - 3 Jun 1913 New York). Corinne's daughter, Alice Marie Buckman, wrote on a photo that Horatio Seymour, Governor or New York, was a cousin to John Seymour Barbour.

John Seymour Barbour's parents were John Barbour and Harriet Seymour. I've never found anything about them.

However, when searching Horatio Seymour's family, I found Ozias Seymour who worked in the manufacture of hats - the same as Joseph Burr Buckman. Ozias was the Uncle of Gov. Horatio Seymour.

I'm looking for the connection between Horatio Seymour and either my Buckman's or Barbour's. I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to help in my search and from anyone who may have questions.
