Hello - I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but hopefully, someone will see this. I just found out that my great-great grandmother's maiden name was Buchhalter. Her first name was Rachel or Ruchel (I've also seen it as Rose, and it could probably be Raisel as well), and she was born around 1870. She married a man named David Rattner/Ratner. She and David emigrated to the US from Kalush/Kalusz/Kalish Ukraine in 1913. If this sounds familiar to anyone, please reply!
