Hello,

I have the BUB name back to the 1100s.
My family came over in 1680s. The name on ship was changed to Buhe and in the new land by King George was changed to Booe.

Hi,

I haven't been able to go back too far with the Bub name. I am stuck when I try to figure out who the parents were of Conrad Bub(1802-1893).(or anything prior to that) My records show that he was married to Catherine Dauenheimer. Supposedly they came from Darmstadt, Germany. I don't know her birth/death dates either. Their children included Jacob, Peter, Elizabetha, Michael, Julia and Conrad. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like we are not on the same line.
My family Phillip Jacob Bub and his family arrived in Philadelphia on October 12,1738 aboard the Snow Fox.

Our name change on the ship to Buhe and then by the king to Booe.

Hope you find your info.

Sorry not the same Bub. My records (from a German "cousin" goes back to about 1540 and our Bub name was the same to the present time.

Ron Booe here.

Your name stayed the same because of when your family came to the new land. My line came in 1680s/1700s when king George was over the land. I have my line back to 1300s with help from German Gov help.

Just a note to help, the Bub name between 1500s and 1400s was BUOB. SO the name was BUOB before it was BUB.

THanks
Ron
