I have researched Jacob Bryan ( 30 May 1783, Bladen, N. Carolina - 1 Feb 1852), Roann, Wabash Co., Indiana. He was married to Nancy Freeman(1786-1845). Their children were:

Willis Bryan ( 1820-1917)
Margaret Bryan ( 1821-1883) married John Gamble
Sarah Ann Bryan ( 1822- abt 1825) died young
Jane Bryan ( 1823- abt 1823) infant.
Jacob Bryan, Sr. started out in Bladen/Robenson Co., North Carolina, he moved his family to Jefferson Co., Indiana in 1822. He was one of the first school teachers and ministers in the area. He owned several tracts of land. He died in Wabash, Indiana and is buried in Gamble Cemetery with many of his descendants.
I am following his son Jacob Bryan, Jr. he was born in Bladen, N. Carolina and came to Indiana with his father. He was married 2 times.
First wife was Margaret Fickle Bryan ( 1830-1858) they had children:

Jacob Bryan, Jr. was visiting his son in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1897 when he became ill and eventually died there. He is buried in Williamsburg at a yet determined cemetery. I have his Obituary from newspaper and Card of Thanks from Virginia Gazette.
