Dr. Jesse Isler, of Lenoir Co., NC, and Mary Ann Eliza B. Bryan, daughter of Gen. Joseph H. Bryan, had at least five children:
Joseph, d. 19 Dec 1833
William B.
Mary Hunter, m. Richard G. Clark
John P.
Sally Ann, m. Dr. Joel B. Burnett

Mary E. Isler died 13 Feb 1860 in St. Loius, MO, and was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Lot 688, Block 40, on 15 Feb 1860.

Jesse and Mary moved to St. Louis with their daughter and son-in-law, the Burnetts. After his wife died, Jesse moved with the Burnetts to Brooklyn, NY. According to the probate records, on record in Brooklyn, he died 28 Jul 1865 in Westport, Mass. In his will he directed his remains to be buried with those of his late wife. He was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery 11 May 1866.

Gen. Joseph H. Bryan was a Congressman from North Carolina. There is a monument to him and his wife, Sally Ann, in Elmwood Cemetery. Unfortunately, the monument is so badly worn on one side that Sally Ann's dates of birth and death cannot be read (the last digit is illegible).

I can provide further details if interested.
