Hi Bruss families,

I just learned that the maiden name of my great grandmother was BRUSS,this past week.

She immigrated from Germany in 1864 and married August DIETRICH about 1871/2 (name is listed as Dedrish on census). He immigrated from Germany in 1866.

Their marriage is not listed in WI prior to
1907 but 6 of the 10 living chilren listed on the 1900 census for Black Creek Town (Outigamie Co.), WI. were born in WI. We are assuming that all of the children were born in WI, since the oldest child, Albert,b. Aug 1872 was born in WI.

Emma Dietrch (my grandmother) b. April 1883 married Herman Sasman Dec 22, 1905. Her sister, Bertha married Frederick Sasman.

Other known children they had are:
Henry, Gusta, and Samuel(sp?) The spelling is difficult to read for the last name listed.
