I am a Brundle and I'm very interested in adding any information I can to my Brundle Family Tree. So far I have found out about eight generations of Brundles, in Kent, London and Suffolk. I particularly enjoy finding out about each generation, from the Suffolk Agricultural Labourers to the London Confectioners. I would welcome any further information and I would happily share what I've found.
My key Brundles are Frank 1917-1990 Kent
Francis 1879-1961 London & Kent
Robert 1849-1917 Suffolk & London
Robert 1815-1880 Suffolk
Peter 1773-1856 Suffolk
Peter 1738-1792 Suffolk
Kind regards
Karen
Hi Steve
We are related - my grandfather Nathan Brundle b 1884 and your great-grandfather William Alfred were brothers even though they was 24 years between their ages.
I have a very detailed family tree and also photos of these brothers with their parents and brothers and sisters. I also have a photo of your William & family about 1914 and other Bromeswell photos.

Happy to share any materials

Looking forward to hearing from you

Roger Impett (son of Doreen Brundle b 1908)

Their 4th and last born in the UK in 1911, was Albert Arthur who married in NZ in 1933 and had a girl and a boy (Phillip). Phillip married in Mackay, Queensland and has 2 sons. Phillip and Helen still live in Mackay.

Rachel (nee Brundle) died in NZ in 1948, Frederick died in Perth, Western Australia, in 1937. Albert died in NZ in 1996. As far as I know Rachel's sister, Ellen didn't go to NZ with Rachel.

Please contact me at :- pnewton1939@dodo.com.au

Great to find another contact to the Brundle family. I have been in contact with Theresa Murphy (descended from Ellen Brundle - Rachel's sister.) Did they (Ellen & Rachel) go to New Zealand together. ?

I would like some details of Rachel's family - whatever you can send me. I have a good Brundle tree and would happily send you what I have. (it goes back to the early 18th century.) Theresa sent me pictures of John & Mary Brundle's family at Bromeswell, Suffolk taken around 1876 and 1891.

Two of Nathan's children are still alive. Freda who is a magnificent 98 and going strong (lives on her own etc) and Douglas the youngest who is 82.

My mother Doreen was Nathan's eldest daughter born in 1908.

Looking forward to sharing information etc.

Best regards

Roger Impett
Hartlepool, England

BRANDL - one of the spelling variants

Hi,

most of you are certainly aware of the fact, that there are lots of spelling variants for Brundle.

For those who aren't, let me draw your attention for instance to the BRANDL message board at http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/board/rw/Surnames.Brandl Brundle may be especially close to the BRANDL variant since it's quite an exact 'phonetic' spelling of the latter. But of course there are several more query boards and mailing lists for variant spellings out there.

My own family's name, BRANDL, goes back quite a long time. But when I dug out the father of my last known BRANDL ancestor, what a surprise: His name in the books was PRAENDL, born in about 1717.

Since some time we have a BRANDL resources site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~brandlsurname/

The links, hints and data (including some soundex census transcriptions for the USA) on this site may be helpful for any of the name variants you might have in your family.

All the best for your research

Tilman Brandl
