I'm descended from Rebekah Bruce and her marriage to Jesse Mundy. Have any of the other Bruce descendants taken a DNA test? I have and it is on Ancestry.com and GEDmatch.com as kit A613283. I believe that Jesse is born in 1780, not 1790. This is somewhat supported by the 1820 and 1830 (Jepe) censuses.
The "The Rucker family genealogy, with their ancestors, descendants and connections" at http://interactive.ancestry.com/14204/dvm_GenMono000445-0027...
is interesting and gives name as Samuel Jesse Monday.
In following the Morefield surname, husband of Winifred Bruce being John Morefield Jr., I found their son, John Royal Morefield (1767 – 1816) was married to a Sally Sarah Monday (1788 – abt 1855) who has a sister named Tabitha Monday (abt 1744 – ?) who married John Dunkley (abt 1759 – 25 Sep 1837).
Since all these Mondays (Mundys) are all in Halifax County and getting intermarried, I think that they are likely related. However, I was unable to find parents names of Tabitha and Sally Monday, nor of Samuel Jesse Mundy.
BTW, I doubt she is born in Scotland, her father supported Revolutionary War with beef supplies as shown by DAR http://services.dar.org/Public/DAR_Research/search_adb/?acti...
and SAR P123484.
