In 1900 census ... District 36 Siloam, Greene County, Georgia
resides Judson A Bruce ... wife Sarah
daughter Josie and next door is William Channell, wife Georgia,
son Lucillian, daughter Annie and nephew Fletcher Bruce.

1910 census District 64 Criddelle, Greene County, Georgia
Judson A Bruce on his 4th marriage.... resides with wife
Julia and children Elva & Graham. Next door is the
William Channell family with Fletcher Bruce as nephew still residing
with them.

Perhaps the new wives did not want to raise Fletcher who was born
of another wife to Judson? It doesn’t appear to be an adoption as
the census continues to list him as “nephew” in the household.
