Charles W. Brown b. around 1840 or before. Don't have a clue where he came from, but married Mary E. Gerth b. about 1842. She was listed as 8 years old on 1850 Illinois census. They could have married in Kansas in Leavenworth area. Their daughter, Emma Alice married Douglas Rush in Leavenworth, Kansas in 1889. They moved to Illinois. Douglas Rush is another dead end...cannot find any family for him or Charles W. Brown. Looking for any info that connects with Charles Brown...parents, siblings, ANYTHING but the cabbage patch.
