I don't show any of your folks in the branch of Brown's that I have conquered. Someone sent me an obit for Mattie A. BROWN, who was born to Henry B. and Sarah BROWN, July 8, 1876 that I haven't connected either, does that ring a bell?
Mattie A. BROWN was born to Henry B. and Sarah BROWN, July 8, 1876, and passed away March 26, 1963, at 1 pm at the age of 86 yrs, 8 mos, and 18 days.
She was married to George N. SNYDER November 24 1898. To this union was born 8 children, six boys, Vollie L., Ernest C, Westville; William H., Lonnie V., Highfill A., Clovis, NM., Eugene K., Albuquerque, NM., and two girls Bernice and Ruth who preceded her in death. Mr. SNYDER died February 17, 1937.
Mrs. SNYDER was converted in early life and united with the Missionary Baptist Church. She joined the New Hope Church, June 13, 1909 and was an active member for 54 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing six sons; two brothers, Isaac BROWN, Boring, Ore., Benny BROWN, Stilwell; one sister, Minnie SHINE, Costa Mesa, CA., 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held on Thursday, March 28, in the Roberts Chapel. Her body was sent by train, to Clovis, NM. Burial was in Memory Gardens of Memories by the side of her late husband.
