Leroy was killed on December 06, 1969 in Bowie. He was a Cochise County Sheriff. He is buried there in Bowie at the cemetery, with 3 of his kids.

My interest lies in information regarding his father James Elmer Brown. Also interested in anything in print locally regarding the shooting. I know the "facts" but am looking for stories or such from anyone that may have known Leroy. I believe he went to the high school there, not sure if they have old photos to share. Anything you happen to discover as you pass thru will be appreciated.
