I am trying to research my father's family. He was told by his mother that his father's name was Christopher Columbus Brower and his grandfather's name was Grant Thomas Brower. My father is Thomas Grant Brower and was born in 1947 so his dad may have been born around 1900-1920 or so. And his grandfather was probably born around 1870-1890 or so. My grandmother is Geraldine and my dad had two brothers and three sisters by the same dad and the oldest brother by another father. Does anyone know anything about a Christopher or Grant Brower

I have never met my real Father. His name is Christopher Columbus Brower. I will be 48 years old on September 10,2009 My mothers maiden name is Dickinson, She Lived in Florida. Have not seen her since I was three. I believe I have a sister with the name Geraldine. Another sister named Cherita.
Is this coincidence, or are we related! Maybe there are two different Christopher Columbus Brower. I know there was alot of kids by my real dad. Some with different women, other than my real Mom. I believe he was born in Oklahoma. Not much information, but all I really know. Let me know what you think or discover.

I have recently ordered my father's birth certificate and found out his father's name is Columbus Brower, not Christopher like we have always been told. Columbus Brower was born in Oklahoma. He had 6 kids with my grandmother (Geraldine Crocker). Ronald, Dennis, Thomas, Linda, Erma, and Dianna. My father is almost 63 and the kids are all stair steps down, so maybe 65(deceased), 64(deceased), 63(my dad), 61, 59, 57. I'm really not sure on those other ages, just a guess. I think he just up and disappeared on her for whatever reason within a few years after the last one was born. I don't think Columbus and my grandmother were ever actually married, but that's just what I've heard, so I'm not sure if it's true or not. He was 27 when my dad was born in December of 1946, so he would have been born in about 1919 or so. Does that sound about right? If it is, you probably have a brother and three sisters living in California. As well as many nieces and nephews!! I can give you info on the two deceased if you think you are related and want to know. I think family health history is important.
