The following advertisement was printed in the Maryland Journal of Baltimore MD on Friday, August 15, 1783 - Vol 10, Issue 542, page 3 and is held in the Baltimore County Historical Society/Genealogy Dept. :

"Notice is hereby given, that the subscriber intends preferring a petition to the next General Assembly to invest her with a sole power to receive, and appropriate to her own use, one half part of her deceased brother Samuel Hutcheson's estate. Rebecca Broom, August 12, 1783.
