I am looking for the parents of Perry Broom born 1824 in Tenn. In 1850 he is living with James and Nancy Broom in St. Clair Co. Illinois. Nancy's last name was Broom when she married James so I can't tell if Perry was her brother or James. James' parents were John and Sarah Abernathy Broom from VA who moved to Illinois by way of Kentucky. I believe he was Nancy's brother because they were both born in Tenn.
