I am looking for more information regarding Miles Broom who was born about 1790 in N. Carolina. The story is he died in 1815 on his way home from the War of 1812. He married Elizabeth Vincent. They moved to Smith County, TN in the early 1800's from NC. I am wanting information on Miles' parents and their ancestors. And of course, any other info. regarding Miles would be helpful. I have nothing!

Also, my great-grandfather is Jethro Westcott Broom b. in Effingham and died in Effingham, IL. He is the son of William Allen Broom and Nancy Agnes Bishop. Jethro married Florence Sloan in Effingham, IL. I am searching for any information regarding any of their children, in particular, Donald Miles Broom, my grandfather. But, any information would be greatly appreciated!
