My mother Monica was born in 1918 in Scotland and her mother who we believe was serving in the forces during the first world war brought her down to Manchester, England to be cared for. Unfortunately, for whatever reason she never returned after the war to take her back. She was later adopted. Apparently she had two sisters Mary and Florence, one was older and one younger. There is very little information about the family.

Does anyone remember this although it's so long ago now.
