I am looking for parents of my gg grandfather John Louis LaVigne, b. ca 1811-1816 in Green Bay WI, and m. to Mary Vieau in Green Bay in 1850. He died in 1895 in Port Edwards WI; his obit said he had a brother August, who was still living in Green Bay. I believe his parents may have been Jean Baptiste Brodeur LaVigne m. to Eliz Ulrich or P. (? Pierre LaVigne), both early voyageurs from Canada but can't find any real proof for either. Family history says we are Broduer LaVignes. Also, can anyone tell me where to find Clement Brodeur's book? Earlier postings referred to several websites for Brodeur or Brodeur- LaVigne descendants but the web addresses are no longer current, does anyone have current website addresses?
