Hello Alice, and BROCKWAY descendants,
I was also curious about the "Without Cripplegate" location. Here is an interesting description about the church at this location, and the history behind the name. Note that "Without Cripplegate" is correct, and what it means:
http://www.stgilesnewsite.co.uk/history/

I have not heard all of the other details you just listed, and I would love to learn more about these descriptions. Would you be willing to tell me the name of the researcher who passed this information on to you (the Boston Tea Party story, etc), either here in the forum or by private message?

I do not have Patience CLARK in my database, unfortunately.

My BROCKWAY research has been online, and shared with other researchers, for years, so it is one of many sources seen by researchers. There are many BROCKWAY descendants, with a long history. It's an interesting family.

Thanks again for your input.
Best regards, Joel
