Hi JoAnne,
It could be possible that Neal and Ephraim are somehow related and, if so, the connection would be back in Ireland. I know that Ephraim's children were born in County Donegal, Ireland. And, I know that Ephraim died about 1850 in Ireland (I'm assuming County Donegal). Ephraim's wife was Elizabeth Duncan. That is all I really know.

Elizabeth and the children immigrated about 1851 and settled in PA for several years and then came to CA. I've been working on figuring out who is who, and who went where for the "California" Brittons so I haven't done any Irish reasearch at all yet. I haven't even worked on the ship passenger lists to determine exactly when and where the family arrived.

It might be a good idea for us to keep in touch in case one of us turns up anything of interest in Irish research that might connect the two men. My e-mail address is mhtruck@yahoo.com Do you know where Neal was born or got married?

Thanks for the response. Keep in touch.
