James, thank you for this information! It will help in my Brill research. I keep running into the Brills of Guernsey Co. and their descendants on both my mother's line and my dad's line! So I've wanted to connect the dots so to speak to see how all of these Brills that keep showing up on the edges of my family tree are related.

As far as those Longs in Guernsey County are concerned, I have often wondered if they might be cousins. That is, I wondered if they were descendants of Ware Long of Virginia. However, I still have not been able to make the connection. My Longs came from Virginia to Jackson/Gallia County, Ohio. Some stayed and some went onto Indiana and other places. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out that these Longs are cousins of mine too. I'll send you a report on the Brills I have in my gedcom so far.
