I've been researching my gggrandfather Millard Filmore Brewer b 1871 d 1935. I have hit a snag trying to place him and his brothers Henry and William after their father William J died in 1876. William J's father Geo was given guardianship of the there young brothers, then Geo died in 1877. I've not been able to locate Millard, Henry or William in the 1880 census. Their mother Caroline nee Luker remarried Stutts or Stults and I've not been able to find her either. Nor can I find Geo's wife Mary nee Haithcoat. She remarried in 1880 (Wm Broadstreet) but I don't think until after the census was taken that year.

One other clue I have is that I've found Geo and Mary and their sons in the 1870 census in Nashville, Washington, Ill. William J and Caroline married in about 1870, and perhaps they met in Nashville. There are many Lukers in that area but none that I've found in Wayne County, TN So far I've not found an Ill marriage cert so they may have returned to Tenn to wed. At some point before 1876, it appears the entire extended family returned to Tenn.

Any clues anyone has about this family would be greatly appreciated.
