My name is Anastasia Crisofulli) My grandfather was Eugene Joseph Breaux and his parents were Theriot Breaux and Clementine Tircuit. I am trying to locate any info on the Tircuit lineage. Theriot's parents were Norbert Richard and Poleska (Braud - Breaux) upon some research. The Richard surname was changed from Richard to Breaux. Any info would b greatly appreciated

Hi,
I am trying to get information on my ancestors. My great grandfather was Joseph Breaux married to Cleonise; they lived on a farm in Welsh, LA? Their daughter Genieve was my grandmother, she had a sister named Laura and a brother named Monet. From what I have found out he (Joseph Breaux)was shot and passed away at a young age and of course as was expected during those times, his wife never remarried. Does anyone have any information? Any information would be helpful since I am very new at this.

His daughter-in-law, Scholastique, is credited with the establishment of Breaux Bridge. I would love to find a copy of this book, if any has any suggestions! I know it is held by the Family History Library in Utah, but their books don't circulate.

I have tried everything I can think of to find my Grandfather, Ernest Leonard BREAUX b.1906, on the 1920 Census. His Mother died in 1915 and the family dispersed. I have found some of his older siblings either married or living with a married sibling. I found his Father living alone. I'm stumped.

I know he was from Texas around the Louisiana border and that he had two brothers LeoPaul Breaux, and Joe Breaux. Joe died in on of the world wars I think and Otimar was married to Marie Leger, LeoPaul married Maries Mother Anastasia but I am not sure if her maiden name was Leger. They lived in Sulphur La. Otimar had 4 Daughters, Elita, Cecile,Mable, and Aime. My grandmother Aime is the only one left living and her memory is very poor. Any info you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks

Ernest Leonard's mother, Marguerite Caruthers, died in 1915. He and his 12 siblings seemed to have been scattered off to live with other relatives or with the eldest siblings. I have not been able to find where Ernest Leonard went to live after her death. He was born in 1906, and died in 1956. He was my paternal Grandfather. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated (yes, I've dug through the Federal Census' extensively!).

I am having no luck in searching the" Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records" for any entries pertaining to either one of this couple's baptisms. From their marriage entry, I know that SIMON BOURGEOIS was the son of PIERRE BOURGEOIS and MARIE MODESTE SAVOY. I found that LEONIZE BREAUX was the daughter of JOSEPH ARMAND BREAUX and CELESTE LANDRY.I can find baptismal entries on many, if not all, of their siblings, but for some reason can't find these two. In this couple's marriage entry, LEONIZE BREAUX was referred to as MARY LOUISE BREAUX, yet I can find no baptismal entry matching that name with the correct parents(JOSEPH ARMAND BREAUX and CELESTE LANDRY). Starting with me, goes to my father, Joseph to his father, Alcie married to Eva Migues, then Aclide married to Victorine Sonnier.

I am on a quest to find my family. I hope someone will be able to help me.

At the age of one, my mother and father were separated and it was at this time that my father exited my life as well. I have a sister who is approximately 2 years older then me whom I have never met either. Now I am 26 years old and I am desperate to learn where my family originated from on my father's side. I am also praying that someone can lead me to sister or my father. The information that I have acquired is verbally from my mother. You see when I was only one year old, I was told that he left my mother and kidnapped my sister at the same time. This was 25 years ago. I have never met either one. She married Clyde David Patterson
My mom had a brother named Thomas Rea (he had no children)
Their mother's maiden name was Nora Natalia Breaux
She had a brother named Chester A. Breaux ( He had no children or at least not that I am aware of)
Their Father's name was Philbert Breaux ( I believe was the sheriff at one time)
His wife's name was Josie Inez Bernett (not sure if this is a maiden name or not)
Her mother's name was Rachel Adeline Bernett

I am very interested in finding my roots from my mother's side in Louisiana. The Breaus Bridge in Louisiana was named after my uncle Philibert Breaux. ( not sure of spelling of his first name).

My family is also connected to the Vineaux's. (Not sure of spelling on this either or the connection)

Hi it must be the same one he was the only one in Krotz Springs He was my grand father his name was george Duey Breaux married to Celestine Higdon they had five sons Freddie James,Jimmie Rodgers(my dad),Floyd,Sydney,Charles and one daughter Charline. My dad and uncle Floyd were addopted out after grandma died my dad was only a year or two old he died in 1978. Heorge died when i was real little i never met him but i remember seeing him on the road and asking my mom who he was. They did not all know how to read and write in the old days so whenever people were born, baptized, married or burried they gave their names to a missionary/priest (whomever recorded these events) and he wrote the name as it sounded to him. So your Breaux, Breau, Brau, Brault,Bro, Breu...anything is possible.
When asking for help it is essential that you give names, places, county, country, dates... Good Luck.
