Gottlieb SIEGWART, born in Germany 10-5-1865, Father: Gotlieb Siegwart Mother: Elisabeth Haist or Faist? Immigrated with his mother to Canada in 1873. 1st wife: Elizabeth Zimmer, they were married abt. 1875 in Ontario, Canada. Immigrated to Huron Co., MI. abt. 1879-1880 and she died abt. 1885. Their children were Mary, Catherine, John, & Charles W.
After the death of Elizabeth, Gottlieb married Magdelena BRAUN, who was residing in Fair Haven Twp., Huron Co., MI. with her brother Jacob. Magdelena was born in Baiersbronn, Germany Dec. 16, 1856. Father: Jacob BRAUN. Mother: Elisabetha EHMANN. Magdelena came with 3 brothers to Canada, and then her brother Jacob came with her to Huron Co., MI. Gottlieb and Magdelena children: Louise, Frederick Jacob, Pauline (my grandmother), Albert, and Laura.
