The letter was addressed to a Mrs. Douglas. == Mary Elzora Sims Bratcher was the mother of Robert Lee Bratcher = she stated that the youngest child of the family "Jeff" (I assume she means Thomas Jefferson Bratcher son of George H Bratcher) spent his last years and his big family of 12 children in or near Artesia, New Mexico - his wife was Lillie - and he is the person who gave Mary the names and dates of his brothers & sisters. == She stated that Josiah Lee Bratcher married 1889 in Cleburn, TX to Margueritte Schribner who was born March 1873 in Missouri and died September 15, 1950 in Corpus Christi, TX -- Josiah Lee Bratcher born 1871 was the son of George H Bratcher born 1842 in Tennessee (Irish descent) and moved to Johnson Cty, TX in the late 1880s and died in 1913 and he & wife are buried in Era, TX. His wife Mary Elizabeth Fowler was 1/4 Chickawaw Indian born February 29, 1840 in TN and died in 1910....this couple settled in TX in 1902 === She stated that the Lee** Bratchers and her family of Sims lived in Young County for years and that's where they met back in 1908.
