WILL OF
G.D.A. BRANDON

State of South Carolina
County of Union

In the name of God Amen!

Know all men by the Presents that I, George D.A. Brandon, of Union County and State of South Carolina, being in feeble health, but of sound and disposing memory, do make and publish this my last will and testement, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And as to my worldly estate and all the property real and personal and mixed of which I shall died seiged and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my death, I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit:

I. My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall, by my executors hereinafter named, be paid out of my estate, as soon after my death as shall by him be found convenient.

II. I give devise and bequeath unto John W.G. Smith, son of John R. Smith, thirty acres of land in fee simple, to be cut off from the Northern portion of my plantation, lying on the road leading to Glenn's Spring, and my will is that said thirty acres of land so cut off shall embrace the School House Lot and the lot now occupied by Mrs. Victoria Faucett and the lot now occupied by Jerry Mise.

III. I give devise and bequeath unto my half-sisters Mrs. Harriet Rogers now the wife of James Rogers, and to Mrs. Sarah Ann Harrison, now the wife of William Harrison, all the balance of my estate, real and personal, to be equally divided, share and share, between them.

IV. Should my personal property not be sufficient to pay all my debts and it become necessary for my executors to sell any part of my real estate, my will is that the portion which I have herein bequeathed & devise to my half-sisters, Mrs. Harriet Rogers and Mrs. Sarah Ann Harrison, above named, be sold first and the proceeds applied to my debts as far as they will go before selling the portion which I have herein bequeathed to John W.G. Smith.

And lastly, I do nominate and appoint John R. Smith of Union County and state of South Carolina, to be the Executor of this my last will and testament -

In witness wherof I have signed my name and affixed my seal, this the fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & seventy four -
