I am looking for the parents of John BRANDON or BRANNON who was born about 1750 in Albemarle County, Virginia. He lived for sometime in Rowan County, North Carolina. In 1800 he lived in Knox County, Tennessee where he married Dinah SCOTT. This was his second wife, his first wife a Miss CARTER died before this time probably in Tennessee. John and Dinah resided in Greenville, South Carolina as well as Spartanburg South Carolina. It is believed he may be the brother of Charles Brandon who resided in Bedford County, Tennessee in 1815 or a relation of Col. Thomas Brandon of Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is thought his parents originally came from Pennsylvania. Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you.
