I have recently discovered that a Margaret Brandon m Gaither was buried in Throckmorton TX next to my Hugh F Brandon. She was thought by the poster to be the sister of Hugh, previously listed as Mary E Brandon (born same year.) I dont think that is the case. I am trying to clarify.
My lines are in:
In 1850 MO, household has John and Eliz Brandon with kids including Charles, Margaret (known or assumed to be Frances Margaret who later married Luster in Ar), Walter, Ann (unk any info), sarah (b 1843 in Tx, no other info), Benton (Luther Benton aka Lulu or LB), Mary (????? might be Margaret E Gaither??), and John Adam.
In 1860 MO, the family is John, Eliz, Walter, Ann, Sarah, Benton, MARY 13, John, Henry H (aka Hugh Francis)
The Margaret who married Robert Gaither, married him in 1866 Cannon County TN.
In 1860 Cannon County TN (while MY Margaret and my Mary were with my Brandon family in MO) there are a whole bunch of Margaret Brandons of the same age listed, AND some of them are lived with presumed siblings instead of parents. Specifically the person who I think is later married to Robert Gaither is Margaret b 1846 living with Mary J, 19, SE (f) 17, and John 11. next to Jonathon Brandon family (age 29), and next to Mary Brandon age 74 with Gordon family. Abram and Nancy Brandon are below and there are several more Brandons listed in the nearby pages.
My Brandons were in Roane TN in early 1800s, leaving by abt 1840 for Alabama, then MO by 1845 or so.
Can anyone help me clear up relationships for Cannon CO Brandons, specifically Mary, Margaret, Jonathon, Abram, etc?
Thanks,
Diane
