Thank you for your emails! I didn't expect a reply so soon. To answer a few questions 1.My grandfather is Howard Joseph
Brandl born in 1928? in Manitowoc, Wis. he died in
Salem,
Oregon and was separated from my grandmother Dolores Gwendolyn (maiden name
Moore)
Brandl since my dad was a child. He was in the army for at least 20yrs. I do have a picture of him, his brother James and mygreat-grandfather
Anton at their farm in Wis. I do know that
Anton (born July 29, 1887 in Manitowoc) married Margaret
Bonnell who was the mother of Howard Joseph and his siblings because my father has the birth certificate. I did find a cemetary online that has a Margaret
Brandl born 1893,
Anton Brandl born 1887. I'm sure this is the same people because it;s a Catholic cemetary and the only one I found with their names listed with the right dates. I can't find info on Margaret
Bonnell expect on the
Bonnell message board listed someone named Margaret Lucille
Bonnell who was possibley native american and adopted by the Bonnells. I don't know if it;s the same person. No one in my fathers family has had contact with the Brandl's of wisconsin in atleast 40 years. I don't know if my great aunt's are alive but they were Lorraine and
Virginia a schoolteacher in Milwaukee and a nun in wis. They would be in their 80's by now.
2. As far as I know from ssdeath info
Anton was born and died in Manitowoc. Where I don't know, because I'm from the east coast, but I'm still checking things out.
3. I don't know Anton's parents names. Unless someone comes up with a paper hidden away.
4.yes i did check the 1880 census, but I'm not sure who i'm
looking for , (Anton's parents)yet.
Thank you everyone, I'm greatful for your help, it really means alot to know about by
Brandl family and I will keep looking even if I have to check each
Brandl family from 1800's wisconsin to present.
