Hello,
our resources site at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~brandlsurname/ hasn't changed much these last months. Only that some of you may have noticed that we have added some links to the collection of homepages of fellow researchers - those with an interest in their
Brandl line and others too.
These last days I have added a few more links together with a new 'Picture from the past', which this time has a rather personal touch regarding your humble board administrator ; ))
Some of the things added are:
* A publication detailing the questionnaires and specific instructions for the US censuses 1790-2000. Can be read online and also downloaded (*.pdf document).
* Links to a Czech and also a
Slovak online phone directory. Especially the Czech book may come handy for some of us, since several of our
Brandl ancestors did live in what was back then and still is today Bohemia.
* Latin dictionaries and word lists together with other links, also offering some help with
Latin grammar.
* Our collection of free resources
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~brandlsurname/freel... has gotten a few additions. A survey of (mostly) free email services in case you need a new email address some day. And - of much more importance - a free and powerful backup program.
We will continue the updating of our resources site in the future. If any of you out there has ideas on what might be of interest and helpful for our
Brandl research, or if you even have a ready made page - please let me know, I'll do my best to incorporate it.
Best wishes to you all
Tilman
