Boynton Eubanks, granddaughter of John
Cass Boynton and Elizabeth Lydia
Powson. The Walter Boyntons and John Boyntons moved to
Greer County Oklahoma Territory from
Texas in the late l890's. Uncle Walter and Aunt Sally had five children, three girls,
Robbie McGee, Mellie Thomas, Masie
Tolman, two boys Doug and Roy. All but Roy lived in the
Willow community and were instrumental in establishing schools, churches, etc. A granddaughter
Tobe McGee played on the professional Red
Heads basketball team in the 40's & 50's. I think she and her husband eventually owned that team. Uncle Walter and Aunt Sally later moved to Quanah,
Texas. I do not remember them, but our family was close to the Thomases and McGees.
