I had the autosomal DNA test and really found I am disappointed. I have Redgates (my mother through to my ggrandfather) and no Redgate names showed up. Then I have Malloys (my ggrandmother), Gallaghers (my ggrandfather), Boyle (my ggrandmother), Coyle (my ggrandmother), and Ryans (on both my father's paternal and maternal side). There were 2 that I could see on the Ryan side. The names in my DNA do not ring a bell to me in my research. Is it because not many people have had their DNA tested? I sure would love to hear from others who may have found something similar or who were disappointed. One thing it did say is that I am 98% Irish which I knew pretty much anyway.
