I am trying to verify the burial location of Rev. War solider, Pvt. Francis Boyd.
There is a newer marker placed for him at the Good Hope Cemetery in Wayne Township, Fayette County, Ohio.
He was listed as living in Wayne Township, Fayette County, Ohio in the U.S. 1820 Census. He died in 1824. Fayette County did not become a county until 1810. So, he his residence prior to that if still in Wayne Township, would have been in Ross County, Ohio. I had wondered if Francis Boyd was buried somewhere else and the marker for him is a cenotaph.
