My mother-in-law was born in Belfast, about 1926. Mathilda (or Matilda) Jean Boyd. Parents names unknown. She had at least 1 older sister, maybe 2 and also an older brother who moved to England. Siblings names are also unknown. She was very secretive about her past. One of her sisters raised her. Something was mentioned of her father having a blacksmith shop, perhaps the last working one in Belfast??
She has a cousin named Margaret Boyd (now married I assume so last name could be different)also from Belfast area. My sister-in-law Patricia lost her address years ago and lost contact with the family. Mathilda married Jefferson Beaver in Belfast, 1943. She came to the USA in 1946 with her (then) 2 year old daughter Patricia Jean on the Queen Mary. Jefferson Beaver was killed in the Korean war in 1950. My husband and I are going to Belfast in June, would like to try to locate any Boyd relatives before we go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
