Hello...this is an older post, but I am hoping that someone will see it, and help me in my quest to find ANY information about Sir Edmund Bowyer, and his ancestors, and especially his descendants. I live in America, and am having a very difficult time in tracing his descendants in our country. I have seen references that a Michael Bowyer, Sr. who had sons, John Bowyer, Michael Bowyer, Jr., and other children was a descendant of Sir Edmund Bowyer who came to America with Captain James Smith at Jamestown, and might have returned to England. I have names Henry as a son, and there is a Daniel, both who are supposedly sons of Sir Edmund, however they are not proven as his sons, and also that Sir Edmund signed one of the charters at Jamestown, but that's about all I know. As I say, any information about Sir Edmund Bowyer and his family is greatly needed. I do not have knowledge of the Catherine, his daughter, or Mary, wife of Sir William Smyth, or the names of Ashe and Windham. You may contact me here in America at sheilakline47@yahoo.com.
