DAVID W. 'DAVE' BOWERS

BOARDMAN - Dave entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 13, 2014, with his loving family and friends by his side after a long courageous battle with injury and illness.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) the son of David F. and Bernadine A. Bowers.
He was a 1976 graduate of Liberty High School and worked for Forum Health/Valley Care health systems for 36 years.
Dave was an avid motorcyclist as well as having bowled on several leagues throughout his life. He could usually be found riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, boating, bicycling, and spending time with his family and friends around a fire or at dinner.

He was also well-known as the “grill master” at any outing where there was cooking involved.

He married the love of his life and his very best friend, the former Diane Chambers, on Dec. 27, 1986.
Dave will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched with his kind words, his ready smile, generosity, and many funny stories about the “old days.”

Memories of Dave will be cherished by his devoted wife, Diane of Boardman, Ohio; his loving son, Harry D., also of Boardman, OH; his sister, Mary Katherine (Ron) Schagrin of Palatine, Illinois; his brother-in-law, Ronald (Jan) Chambers of Cortland, OH; his sister-in-law, Sherry (Dalton) Mills of Dublin, Ohio; five nephews; two nieces; seven great-nephews; one great-niece; and one great-great-niece.

Preceding Dave were his parents, David and Bernadine; his stepfather, Arthur Gollan; his parents–in-law, Harry and Betty Chambers; and several aunts, uncles and longtime friends.

The family asks that material tributes may be made in memory of Dave to the Hospice House Hospice of the Valley, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.
They would also like to express a great debt of gratitude to the staff of Hospice House during this difficult time.
Also, the family owes their gratitude to Sunrise of Poland for their kindness and hospitality during his stay there.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time and the family will contact friends and relatives with the details.
Arrangements for Dave were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services. - See more at: http://www.vindy.com/news/tributes/#sthash.61ilV9TI.dpuf
