My mysterious aunt Mrs. Hazel Grymes Sweany Bower was born circa 1895-96, likely in Delaware Co. IN - at least she was living in DCI in 1900 in the Gaston/Muncie area as Hazel Grymes..

The family later moved to Chehalis City, WA, and Hazel is found at age 15 on 1910 US Federal Census. Her name at that time was Hazel Sweany. She may have been attending high school, or she may have been pulled out of school to help as there were several family deaths and births around that time. If someone has access to Chehalis High School yearbooks or records, could you please check for a Hazel Sweany?

New information from a family reunion reveals that as a married woman, Mrs. Hazel Bower operated a successful restaurant (?after her husband's death), place unknown at this time. They told me, and I should have written it down instead of committing it to memory!!! When I find out I will post an addendum.
