the family tree that is on the sumner co.web site from that you get the info on grant bowen being married to amanda. i was doing some looking in on some of the message bords at other things when i found some one that was asking about dicky west and well at that time i did not know who he was. but well i got curious and asked him about his ancester.becuse of what i was tolled about my john bowen and how he died in waco. any way when i was doing some looking a round on the web i was useing the netscape search site. looking at some history &genealogy at the same time. one of the thing's that i did look up was stuff on the youngers and the dalton gang . well i got to reading the info on them and i found that dicky west again be for i got to reading that info on them i did not know who dicky west was. any way from that i found amanda on one of the web pages.that i was looking at. and well to me this tell's me that my john bowen has some kind of tie to:grant bowen and amanda younger. and your john could be grant's dad or son. my john was born in 1870. i found a guy by the name of :jeff who said that he to had a john bowen that was born in 1870 too. and a:john h. bowen as well . it was in gibbson co.tenn web page that i found his message on. this was like 5mo's a go when i got a hold of him.since then i have been doing a lot of work on my grand mothers family tree. and al i know from working on it i have found a lot of the kin to have ties to the same bowen family tree in diffent parts of it that i have seen. to the family tree of the bowen's the 1909 family tree from:sumner co. tenn.web site. i have some of the web address for the web pages that i have been to. that i found the info on. but well as to why i went looking for them is becuse of what it is that i know about the family.from being on the inside of the family /comeing from. i try to see if i can get a hold of jeff to see if he has found any thing. jennifer
