I have information from the courthouse in Georgia regarding Albert Bowdre and some other Bowdres. Was your Albert married to Lucy C. Merriwether about 1847 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. I believe they moved on to DeSoto County Mississippi. Let me hear from you and I'll be glad to share info. I'm looking for information on Louisa Bowdre (1806-1888). Married Samuel Hicks in Georgia and moved on to Texas later.
