Hi Dee;
I have been researching the Boulet family from the Connecticut end. I am also a Civil War Buff. In doing research on the Civil War I discovered that Eraste Boulet was in the Civil War and was what I believe to be the son of Don Louis Boulet. I am the 4th cousin 3 times removed of Don Louis Boulet which would make Eraste Boulet my 5th cousin 3 times removed. Don Louis is the 4th Great Grandson of Nicolas Boulle' who was born in France in the early 1600's and descended to New France which is now known as Canada. I am the 7th Great Grandson of Nicolas Boulle'. The name was later changed in Canada to Boulet. Anyway enough of the Boulet history. I was wondering if you would be able to obtain some information on Eraste with regards to him being in the Civil War. If there are any letters, photos, etc. I am attempting to write a book on the Boulet family and this would make a great chapter. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. If you can find any photos of the Don Louis Boulet and his family and want to scan them and send them as an attachment via e-mail that would be great.
Dee, Thanks for your help in advance and I look forward to corresponding with you. If you would like a copy of the family tree that I developed please let me know. I can either e-mail you the GED file that can be used in the program Family Tree Maker or I can send you a hard copy. The hard copy is 120 pages.
