So sorryng to hear of his passing. There was another Leon Boulanger who was my cousin who was born in Oklahoma but had lived in Tennessee for several years and had moved to Arizona and passed away in Colorado in 1990. He was also born in 1926 also. There was a Leo that lived in Canada that I was trying to locate that my late Aunt had gotten in contact with, but I couldn't find out anything. Maybe we are related down the line somewhere, but so far, I don't know. Any way, my condolences to the family and I'm sorry I just seen the post on this and it has been a while. ttyl

Re: George Boulanger and Anna Millette

According to the 1901 census, if this is the correct family, Georges had two sisters alive in 1901:
Boulanger Théodore M Head M May 11 1854 46
Boulanger Marie R. F Wife M Aug 5 1863 37
Boulanger Georges M Son S Apr 10 1883 18
Boulanger Jeanne F Daughter S May 16 1884 16
Boulanger Yvonne F Daughter S Apr 25 1886 14

When you say "looking for the family" it is unclear. Obviously you have the names of the parents from some source. You know Georges' birthdate and probable location. So, you should have no problem obtaining marriage records and probably at least baptismal records for his parents and siblings. So, exactly what is it you still need?

Regards,
Sharyn

Hi Jon, I am not a Boulanger but am related on your mom's side. She and I are 2nd cousins. Your grandfather Floyd Sleeper and my mother Tressie May Kissick were first cousins, he the son of Emily Susan Simmons [1888-1922] and my mother the daughter of Lula May Simmons [1893-1950]. If you might be interested in the Simmons ancestry, I have quite a lot on that. I am starting a Simmons webpage at http://www.vernpaul.com/simmons/simmons.html and have a photograph uploaded showing some of the family. It will take me ahile, but eventually I will have lots of information and photos online. My mainpage is http://www.vernpaul.com Would be great to hear from you. Your cousin [2nd, once removed] Vern Paul, retired in Ireland.

Hey Kelly I'm fine. How in the world are you? I haven't seen you in ages. I was so sorry and shocked to hear about your son Josh and Sandy and your Dad. Sure would like to see you guys. I'll be out that way for Memorial Day let's get together. I guess you heard about Walter Joseph and his sisters' husband Steve passing away. I also saw in the Tulsa World where your Uncle Henry passed away too. I hated to hear about that. Do you ever hear from Arleta or Alan? We'll all have to get together. Through my researching I found out what area of the cemetery Sandy Josh your Dad and Randy are buried in, but one year I was trying to find Randy and I never did find it. I want to go by there this year. I was in Pawhuska back in June as I took Wayne's obituary by the Indian Agency to record it . I don't know if you heard or not, but I lost my husband in April. Nobody knew until I told them at the cemetery Memorial Day when we were out there. I didn't get to see your Uncle Gene and Aunt Francis either. Have you heard any more from Mark and Lora. I was hoping there was something on here about them. I'm glad you've been back in touch. e-mail me sometime. I've just been doing that a couple of days. Mark, Lora and us need to get together. Do you ever see Monte Lilburn? Well I guess I'll try to get some more information. Looking forward to hearing from you. Love Thursie Mae.I'll fill you in on my life.HA!! wbroome3347@msn.com

Hello Lora and Mark, Guess you haven't checked in the board for a while. Hope you all check it soon, as I would love to hear something. Nobody has been on here since I put something on for Bobbie and Mardi. If you all are still out there write in. I check it about every day. Mark where are your other brothers at now? Monte is in Caney,Ks. I don't know if you know him or not. Cousins take care and write in soon. From what I've seen here, we're all related in some way to all of the Boulangers' Great Great Grandpa Pierre had two brothers and Joseph was one of them and he has many decendents living all over including Canada where he stayed after they came over from Paris, France. Georges died in Paris. Our cousins in Kansas gathered some information back in the 1970's and that's what they said. Take Care ya'll.

Hi Lora, I'm your cousin Thursie daughter of Lena Mae, who was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Boulanger, your Grandpa Grover's brother. I don't have info on you. I seen where your brother Mark had written in here. Do you keep in touch with Monte Lilburn who is also your brother.? The last I heard, he was living in Caney, Kansas, married with two sons. He's a wonderful person. Haven't seen him in several years. He searched to find all of us too. Where are you located? You should come to the Boulanger Cemetery where your Dad is buried and join in our yearly reunion where we eat and socialize. Would love to see you. Didn't we meet one year up there years ago? Seems like I remember you. How's your mom? Your cousin Kelly is on this site, she is Delores's youngest daughter. Your Daddy's sister. Just her and your uncle Gene are all that's left of your Daddy's family. Your Grandma Fannie passed away a few years back also. Well hope to see you soon. Take Care.

Hi Jon, I'm glad to find your message on here. I do know you are the son of Tommy, right? How are you? Sorry to hear about your Dad passing away in 2001. I'll try to find a picture of your Uncle Mitcher somewhere. Aunt Thursie probably had one somewhere. When she passed away in 1995, I don't know where everything is. Our cousin Jackie, who is my uncle Isaac's daughter, lives in Wichita, but we've been out of touch for a long time. I would encourage you and all your family up that way to come join us Memorial Day and Aunt Viola granddaughter Karen, who also lives in Wichita may have some pictures also. Is Cindy still singing? I would love to see you guys. Our cousin, Walter Joseph, Uncle Walter's son, passed away Dec.31. Did you hear about him? He's your Grandpa Mitcher's half brother. His son is named after him. Mitchell is his name, but it's from his name.He lives in Tulsa. Walter Jon his his oldest son.You all are the largest of the familes I believe, but I'm not sure. Hope you answer back. This thing is neat. Loren's son Mark from MN, Bobbie from California who is Uncle Virgil's grandson, I haven't heard anything from them and there they were. Hope we can all come together Memorial Day, that would be awsome. There are alot of dates I don't have in my Geneology Info. Take Care. Family means alot. Hope to see you there. I come all the way from South Carolina,so ya'll make it too. o.k.

Hi Susan,
My August Boulanger is the son of Peter Baker AKA Pierre Ferdinand Boulanger. Pierre came to BC from Quebec. August was born August Baker and changed his name to Boulanger after he married. Now looking at your information is very interesting to my family. Peter Baker did travel around the same places your August did. And my family stories are the same as yours. Please e-mail me with more of your information eg: other family members names, census records, marriages. There are a few of us working on this line, maybe we can help each other.

I Found a George L. Boulanger who has been naturalized in the state of New York between 1907 and 1924. I also found a George L. Boulanger who was enrolled in the WWl in United States. It might be the cousin I am looking for because my cousin was a military officer before leaving Canada. He went to the Boers War in South Africa with his father Theodore in 1899.

Unfortunately, I didn't find George and his wife in the census 1910, 1920 and 1930.

Regards

Denise

Mary Boulanger m. Joseph Galasyn

Greetings all,

I'm looking for anything about Mary Baker, aka Mary Emmaline Boulanger, aka Marie Boulanger. She married Joesph W Galasyn, and she gave birth to Richard W Galasyn in 1937, in Hartford, Connecticut.

The birth certificate reads "Mary Emmaline Boulanger" and claims she was 17, but she was actually 13, so probably born around 1924.

Mary had a brother named Phil Baker. Her mother may have been married to a McCue and may have originated from Maine.

Any information appreciated!

Jim
