Scolastique Boucher and Saturnin Dionne had a child named Arthemise Dionne who married Francios Madore and had 11 kids I know of one begin my Great Grandmother Angelique Madore who married Louis Fournier. I have little info on Scolastique but I believe she or Henri were Native American I have no more info on what Tribe. This has been a debate in the family. According to relative Angelique would deny that she was part Native American to the point were it was blasphemy. I know that back then many people would deny there heritage because they were afraid to be looked down on. The only lead I found was from 8 years ago from Anne Beaupre Stefaniak her email address doesn't work any more this was the posting she mentioned Scolastique and Henri http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/NISHNAWBE/2000...
if anyone nows Anne please help me with contacting her.

Am trying to find info on my dad, his parents and siblings. His name was Charles Leslie Boucher, born in Tupelo, Miss. in 1908 and at some point moved to Nashville, TN. where he met my mom, Katie Mae Thalmann. I can't remember his dad's first name but, I think it is the name of a famous person from the civil war. His mom's name was Malinda (Lou) Easterwood. My mom thinks she is of American Indian heritage, but is not sure where she may have come from. His dad was cajun, supposedly, not sure about that either. My dad had several brothers and sisters. Not sure of any of their names. My dad died in 1971. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Lindy Chacos

Ernest BOUCHER m. Aime ???

Help,I am trying to find info. on Ernest Boucher. He married Aime Boucher?. Don't think Boucher is Aime's maiden name. My grandfather was Patrick Bard Sr.(born May 5,1901). He was married to Eva Albert. Now ,Patricks mother was Genevieve Boucher, she married Napolean Bard in 1906. I have Patrick Bards birth certifacate, which says that his grandparents were Aime and Ernest Boucher. I do know that Genevieve had my pepere, and I think 4 more children. I know his brothers were Benjamin and George. I have a picture of Patrick Bard and he looks like he's native.I own a native american store in the southwest and deal with the native americans, who think I'm native american. I was told that Genevieve was Micmac Indian, or was she metis? Could this also be my family? Also, does anyone know anything about Patrick Bards father. On pepere's birth-certificate his father was listed as Napolean Bard. Pepere was born in 1901 and his mother(Genevieve) and Naploean were married in 1906. Pepere was 5 years old when she married Napolean. Pepere left home when he was 14 years old because Naploean and pepere didn't get along,my aunts say because Napolean was not pepere's father.I think this is my Boucher line but where does Genevieve fit in. Thanks so much for your time.
Mary Kool (Bard)

I am looking for the family ties to Zenaide Boucher, who married Jean Baptiste Richard.

One of their children was named Amedee Richard, born Jan 2, 1888 in Fall River, MA.

Amedee married Marie Elisa (went by Elisa) Beaulieu and was the daughter of Napoleon and Georgianna (Pretaboire) Beaulieu.

Amedee and Elisa had Edmond, b. Jul 1912 and Alderic, b. May 19, 1914 (my FIL - and is still living (93 yrs).

Amedee and Elisa took Elisa's brother Leon and his two children, Adrian and Yvonne, to live with them when Leon's wife died in a house fire. All four children grew up together, though Adrian was 10 years older than Alderic and Yvonne was also older as well.

I am looking to establish links between the different families involved.

Thank you,

June Richard

I really need some help. I am trying to find parents of Ignace (Ignatz)Boucher born 1793 in Canada. He had a son Cyprian born 1834 in MO also had other children named Joseph, Francois, Alexis. I believe he could have had a brother named Alexi. He married a woman Mary L. from Mo. I just cant seem to determine who his parents were. They have to be from Canada. I tried the LDS site, but cant seem to confirm anything. Any suggestions would be helpful. The last name spelling changes over the years, it goes to Boucha then the current spelling is Bushey.
Thanks for any help in advance,

BOUCHER, Joseph A and NADEAU, Clara

I am looking for information about my paternal grandparents Joseph A. Boucher and Clara (Nadeau) m. 4 Apr 1904 in Augusta ME. Marriage certificate notes that he was 21 and she was 19 (b. approx 1883) when they were married.

Joseph was born on 17 Jan 1881 in Dudswell (Richmond & Wolfe county), District 53, T.2 (or P.2), Quebec, Canada. I believe his parents were George (b. 1851) and Marie (b. 1851). The 1881 Canadian Census shows that George & Marie had four other children in addition to Joseph. Their names and approximate YOBs are: Victoria (1873), Georgina (1874), Amanda (1876), and Deliah (1878).

I can find nothing at Ancestry or RootsWeb about Clara, but I assume she was born in Quebec, Canada as well. Joseph & Clara had two children, my father, Wilfred J. Boucher (16 Aug 1916) who, according to his birth certificate was the second child, and Georgianna, both born in Augusta ME.

I would appreciate any information on this particular Boucher line and/or recommendations on where to go from her. Thanks much ....... loraine

Hi, I'm from a large family of Boucher's and am not sure where we began. Now I've read all about the
Boucher's from Canada and France, which is odd because, the only thing that I do know about my family is that
we have quite a bit of Irish, and German (or Black Dutch) in us and no one in our family knows of anyone who
has Canadian in them, now we do think there may be some French, but we think that just kind of got picked up
along the way, we also think that maybe our name was too. The only name's I have are my grandparents. Whom
William Oscar Boucher (people called him "B") and Hazel Marqurite Miller. They had nine children five girls and
four boys. If anyone could help me the least bit, I'd be much obliged. I think I have some cousins in Tennisee.
Thank you kindly.
A.J.

Francis Emerson BOUCHER b.1885-04-19 Iowa - m. - Mildred BEHLE

I'm looking for any information about Francis Emerson Boucher. He married Mildred Behle who was born 10 May 1895 in Idaho (probably Bannock County). Francis Emerson Boucher (from Marshalltown,Iowa), was a third generation doctor. I don't know when or where they got married or if they ever had any children. According to the 1920 Census, they were living in the Belvedere Hotel (next to the Hansen Planetarium in Salt Lake City, UT)in 1920. They lived on 4800 South in Murray, UT in the 1930's and 40's near his practice and moved to southern California about 1949. He died 1 Jul 1971 at the Beverly Manor Convalescent Hospital, 24452 Via Estrada, Laguna Hills, CA. She died at the South Coast Community Hospital, 31872 South Coast Highway, South Laguna CA on 22 Nov 1972. Their residennce was 105 Monte Vista, San Clemente, CA. I have their death certificates. His Father was Francis H. Boucher and his Mother was Susan M. Judd. Mildred's parents were William H. Behle (born in Germany) and Anna Bantly or Bennett (born in Iowa). Please send me an e-mail (brucelloyd@aol.com) since I might not check this site regularly.

Louis D. Boucher - Grand Canyon Explorer / Mine Guide

Can anyone tell me more about Louis D. Boucher?

He was an explorer/prospector in the Grand Canyon; he was a gracious host taking tourists on tours through his mine. He was the only White man to establish a permanent home within Grand Canyon; the remains of his rock cabin walls and chimney can be found on the northeast bank where the trail enters the streambed from the east, and there is a prospecting hole in the wall a little further north.

There is a record of a Louis Boucher residing in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 1875. The first record of Boucher at the Canyon dates back to July 1891 when he was employed by John Hance as a Grand Canyon trail guide. An August 1892 edition of Scientific American refers to a French-Canadian trail guide – "Louis de Bouchere, intelligent, obliging, and not too talkative ..." Louis left the canyon around 1913.

In the Grand Canyon Boucher Creek, Boucher Rapids, Boucher Trail, and Boucher Canyon were all named after him.

Photographs of Louis, his camp, and his mule "Silver Bell" can be found at http://www.allhikers.com/Allhikers/History/Historical-Figure...

Would like to add some information, on Josiah and David Boucher. The Josiah that I am writing about was born. to Father: David BOUCHER b: 12 NOV 1789 in Windsor Twp, Berks Co, PA Mother: Mary Eve FRIEDLINE b: 23 AUG 1794 in Somerset Co, PA, Dec. 17, 1819. David, I do not know when he was born.

I am doing research on elected official in California, and found out about Josiah, for he was elected to be a delegate to the California Constitution Convention of 1878. From a book titled " Biographical Sketches Delegates to the Convention To Frame a New Constitution State of California 1878" in his bio, states that he was born in Summit county, and that in California, he was first a miner and then a farmer. Also that his brother has been elected to the California Senate, and that he died just after the end of the session, from the California Blue Blue, found out that he served in the 19th session, which were the years of 1871-72.

I am wondering if any one knows where either or both of them are buried?

George
