I am just beginning to research my family history. My mother's name is Margaret L. Bonney born on September 4,1929 in West Paris, Maine. Her father's name was Owen O. Bonney born in Maine on February 9, 1898. If there is anyone out there who has any information about the Bonney's in Maine and can help me out I would appreciate it.

Bob and I leave this Wed. for Maine . We are going to do our best to track down the Maine Bonneys. Bob goes back to Moses Bonney and we know the rest, but Moses had 10 children. I know that Perez and Joel William made it to Maine. Will let you know the results. PJL

I have a letter from the Otisfield Historical Society. It is from Jean Hankins, 202 Scribner Hill Rd., Otisfield, ME 04270. I will be happy to send you the whole text if you let me know your email address. She cites a book called History of Otisfield, ME, by William Spurr. I quote, "Bonney, Chaucy, son of John of Paris [Maine], was perhaps a brother to Isaiah. He came to Oxford [next town north of Otisfield] before 1850. Also searching for history of Isaiah of Otisfield. My gggrandfather was Edwin (Isaiah Edwin). Have corresponded with gggrandson of Arthur. We all seem to be in the same place. I, however, live in Maine and hope to go to do more research soon. Can you tell me where you got the possible birthplace as Bridgton? I haven't gotten there yet.
