C. O. Boynton was born in Troy, N.Y. in 1922 and lived with his parents until July, 1843, moving with them to
Fulton County, Ill., where he married Miss Mary A. Bonney, July 26, 1843. Mary was born in
Sandusky,
Ohio, and moved with her parents to
Illinois in 1834.
They lived on a donation land claim of 640 acres where
Needy,
Oregon is now located. Mr. Boynton was County Assessor of
Clackamas County,
Oregon for four years and County Commissioner the same length of time. For 21 years he was
Justice of the
Peace.
In 1891 they moved from the
Needy area to
Woodburn, Marion,
Oregon.
